What PC configuration is needed to run VRC Pro?

Discover the minimum and recommended system requirements to fully enjoy VRCPro and how to optimize graphics. Prepare your PC with our detailed system specifications guide for an optimal simulation experience.

The Steam platform has implemented two configurations: the minimum and the recommended

The minimum:

Operating system: Windows XP and above, Net framework 3.5. Vrcpro is not compatible with Mac.

Processor: Hyperthreaded Intel CPU, AMD Athlon 64 CPU

RAM: 1 GB of memory Graphics: 256 MB Pixel Shader 2.0 graphics card (nVidia GeForce FX 5600 or ATI Radeon X600)

DirectX: Version 9.0c

Disk space: 2 GB of available disk space

Sound card: Soundblaster compatible sound card

IMPORTANT: This is a minimum configuration, but I don't think it allows for enough graphical detail and fluidity to enjoy the best possible simulation.

The recommended one:

Operating system: Windows 7 or Windows 8 and above, Net framework 3.5. Vrcpro is not compatible with Mac.

Processor: Multi-core CPU (Intel Core i5 or i7, AMD Phenom II QUAD X4)

RAM: 4 GB of memory; Graphics: 1 GB dedicated RAM, Pixel Shader 3.0 graphics card (AMD Radeon HD 5870, nVidia GTX 560)

DirectX: Version 9.0c

Network: Broadband internet connection

Disk space: 3 GB of available disk space

Sound card: Soundblaster compatible sound card

VRC Pro graphics optimization tips:

Step 1: Measure the frame rate (frames per second, FPS). This metric will show you the number of frames per second in the game; the higher the FPS, the smoother the game will be and the more precise your piloting will be! When adjusting your graphics settings, check if the frame rate increases or decreases.

To enable the display of FPS on your game (Frames Per Second = IPS Image Per Second), you must go to the game's "Options" then "Graphics Options" and activate "Display Framerate (FPS) in game" ON at the bottom right.

Note: If the FPS do not appear, you can activate it via Steam (you will then need the Steam version of the game) by going to Steam/Settings/In-game/In-game FPS Counter/top right (for example).

IMPORTANT: Be aware that too many FPS can cause screen tearing. This occurs when your monitor's refresh rate (in hertz) isn't capable of displaying the very high FPS your graphics card is sending. You should then enable the "V-Sync" option in your graphics settings. Generally, I don't enable this option in many games.

It's good to know that VRC Pro is a simulator that offers some flexibility in terms of graphics performance, allowing users to adjust the graphics settings according to their PC's power and preferences. Here are some tips to optimize VRC Pro's performance.

Optimization tips:

Lower the graphics resolution: If your PC is having trouble running the game smoothly, consider lowering the graphics resolution in the game's options. This can significantly improve performance, although it may result in a loss of image quality.

Lowering graphics settings: You can reduce certain graphical details, such as enemy dust. You can also lower other settings, such as shadows, texture quality, and special effects, to improve your FPS.

Update your graphics drivers: Make sure you have the latest graphics drivers installed on your PC. Driver updates can improve compatibility and performance with games.

Close background applications: Close all applications and background processes that are not needed while you play. This will free up system resources for the game.

Monitor your PC's temperature: Check that your PC isn't overheating while gaming. Overheating can cause slowdowns. Make sure your cooling system is working properly and regularly clean the dust inside your computer.

Update the operating system: Make sure your operating system is up to date, as updates can also improve performance and stability.

Adjust game settings according to your hardware: Experiment with different graphics settings to find the right balance between visual quality and game performance.

Upgrade hardware if necessary: If your PC continues to struggle to run the game despite all adjustments, it may be time to upgrade some hardware components, such as the graphics card, RAM, or processor.

By following these tips, you should be able to optimize VRC Pro's performance on your current PC and enjoy a smoother gaming experience.

Tips: You can install the game demo from the official VRCWORLD website (you have "download" in the top right corner of the site) to see if your PC is capable of providing a smooth experience. I would recommend playing a multiplayer game with several people to evaluate your PC and internet connection.
